1. Seating Capacity & Weight Limitations
- Our helicopters accommodate up to six passengers per flight.
- The maximum weight limit is 450 kg (excluding baggage). Passenger load is carefully planned based on total weight and prevailing temperature conditions.
- Accurate weight details must be provided at the time of booking to ensure optimal flight safety and planning.
- Overweight charges apply at INR 2,500 per kg for passengers exceeding 75 kg. However, excess weight is calculated based on the total permissible weight of all group members combined (75 kg × number of passengers).
2. Reporting & Arrival Information
- Dehradun Arrival: All passengers must arrive in Dehradun one day before the scheduled flying date (Day 2 of the tour).
3. Hotel Accommodations
- We provide premium accommodations at all destinations:
- Dehradun: Hotel Hya Centric or similar (MAP basis – Dinner & Breakfast).
- Kharsali: Turiya Heli Resort or similar (AP basis – All meals).
- Harsil: Nelangana Resort or similar (AP basis – All meals).
- Phata: Hotel Turiya Heli Resort or similar (AP basis – All meals).
- Badrinath: Hotel Vijaylords Centric or similar (AP basis – All meals).
4. Additional Information
- Rooms are available on double or triple sharing basis; single occupancy incurs an additional charge of INR 45,000/person (inclusive of taxes).
- Hotel selections may change without prior notice.
- Travel Buffer: We advise guests to keep one extra day at the end of the 5N/6D tour to accommodate possible weather-related delays or unforeseen circumstances.

5. Liability Under Carriage by Air Act, 1972
- In case of death, injury, or damage to a passenger or their registered baggage during air travel, liability is governed by Sections 4, 5, and 6, along with rules outlined in the Second Schedule of the Carriage by Air Act, 1972.
- Provisions may be modified, adapted, or amended as per notifications issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation.
6. Passenger Conduct & Cancellation Policy
- Indocopters reserves the right to deny boarding to passengers who are unruly, intoxicated, abusive, sick, or mentally unfit.
- If a passenger is deemed unsafe for flight, their booking will be canceled without any refund eligibility.
7. Rescheduling of Booking
- Rescheduling is permitted only if requested at least 28 days before the scheduled travel date and is subject to availability.
- A 10% rescheduling fee (of the total tour cost) will be applicable.
- If rescheduling is requested less than 28 days before travel, the booking will be considered canceled. A new booking will be required, subject to availability and cancellation charges.
8. Payment Terms & Conditions
- Accepted Payment Modes: Bank transfers, cheques, cash, UPI, and card machines.
- Advance Booking Deposit: 50% of the total cost must be paid at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be cleared 28 days before arrival in Dehradun.
- Boarding Restriction: Passengers who fail to complete full payment will not be allowed to commence the tour.
9. Additional Payment Charges:
- Payments via credit/debit cards will incur a 3.5% transaction fee.
- Payments via American Express or foreign cards will incur a 4.5% additional charge.
10. Cancellation Charges
- More than 28 days before travel – 30% of total tour cost.
- 15 to 28 days before travel – 50% of total tour cost.
- 08 to 14 days before travel – 75% of total tour cost.
- 07 days or less / No Show – No refund.
- After the tour begins – No refund.
11. Refunds for Force Majeure & Bad Weather
- Kharsali/Yamunotri – 20% of the tour cost minus ₹30,000 for flight preparation & services used.
- Harsil/Gangotri – 20% of the tour cost minus ₹30,000 for flight preparation & services used.
- Phata/Kedarnath – 30% of the tour cost minus ₹30,000 for flight preparation & services used.
- Badrinath – 30% of the tour cost minus ₹30,000 for flight preparation & services used.
- Full Tour Cancellation – Full refund minus ₹30,000 for flight preparation, hotel retention, and utilized services.
- Refunds are processed within 20-25 working days after receiving the cancellation request.
12. Bad Weather & Force Majeure Policy
- If a flight is canceled or delayed due to conditions beyond our control, Heli Tirth Yatra will not be liable for any losses. Refunds will be processed as per our refund policy.
- We do not provide compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, meals, transportation, or other travel expenses incurred due to flight cancellations.
- If the tour does not commence from Dehradun on Day One due to weather or operational issues, it will be considered canceled, and a full refund will be issued as per policy. Alternatively, passengers can choose to reschedule to the next available date, subject to fresh booking and availability. Any unused balance from the previous booking can be adjusted against the new booking.
- If the tour departs as scheduled but gets disrupted at any Dham, our team will provide a revised itinerary within the existing tour duration, without any extension of days.
- Any tour extension requested by passengers will be subject to additional charges and operational feasibility.
- If flights are unable to operate for five consecutive days, a full refund will be issued as per our refund policy.
- New Chardham passengers scheduled for departure from Dehradun will be given priority over any backlogged passengers from previous days.
13. Kedarnath Bad Weather Disclaimer – Heli Tirth Yatra
- Due to frequent bad weather conditions in Kedarnath Valley, helicopter operations may be disrupted, potentially stranding passengers at Kedarnath Dham overnight. In such cases, the following policies apply:
- Our team will make every effort to arrange accommodation at available guest houses in Kedarnath Dham, but bookings will be on an ad-hoc basis and subject to availability.
- Guests will be required to bear the accommodation charges directly. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for the pre-booked stay at Sersi under such circumstances.
- Guest house accommodations in Kedarnath are basic and may lack amenities such as hot water, clean bedding, and proper hygiene. Due to high demand, accommodation costs are often inflated despite limited services. Guests are advised to be prepared for such contingencies.
- If passengers are stranded for extra nights due to bad weather or force majeure, they must pay additional night halt charges directly to the hotel.
- Helicopter operations to Harsil may be canceled if there are turbulent wind conditions, which commonly occur in the Harsil Valley after 12:00 PM.
- If a passenger group chooses to cancel their tour mid-way, Heli Tirth Yatra will arrange transportation, but the cost must be borne by the passengers on a direct payment basis.
- Any increase in government taxes or levies after booking confirmation will be payable by the passengers. The payment must be made before tour commencement.
14. Disputes & Legal Compliance
- Any disputes regarding legality, interpretation, or service performance shall be governed by the laws under Delhi jurisdiction.
- Booking confirmation indicates acceptance of the above-mentioned terms and conditions.
- We advise all passengers to stay informed and plan accordingly, considering unpredictable weather conditions in Kedarnath Valley.
